From the moment we stepped into the Reception area for check in, to finally leaving, all the Hotel Staff made us feel extremely welcome and at home during our stay. To celebrate our occasion, we recieved a complimentary upgrade from a Station View Double Room to a River View Double Room which was greatly appreciated. A member of Staff kindly took our luggage to our room and then accompanied us to show us to our room which was a nice touch. Our room was modern, clean and spacious enough for the 2 of us. There was a kettle, coffee machine, coffee pods etc. The TV had 4-5 English language channels which aired American TV shows & films. There were enough sockets and USB ports on either side of the bed for both of us. Upon request, an iron and ironing board was also provided. The shower in our room was seperate to the toilet. The mini bar in the room was complimentary which again was a nice touch from the hotel. Our room was made up everyday. Towels and toiletries were replenished along with the complementary bottle of water. We loved the early 1900’s chic theme that ran throughout the hotel. It was classic, old school but modern all at the same time. Personally, we didn’t hear any noises of the trains or metros in our room during our stay. Check out was at 12pm which I feel is very reasonable. Our return flight wasn’t till later on in the evening therefore the hotel kindly stored our luggage. We were free to use the washroom facilities on the first floor throughout the day and I must say they were really clean. From our personal experience we could tell the Hotel prides itself on high levels of cleanliness. The strategic location of this hotel within a Train/Metro Station means that you can explore all areas of Lisbon at ease using the Metro. If you are a walker then the Pantheon is only a 9 minute walk from the hotel. Praca do Comercio is a casual 17 minute walk along the river.

The room I was upgraded to had lovely river views. The cruise ships do spoil it whenever docked but still a good view if lucky enough to be in a room located where the view is not completely obstructed. I like that I could control the lighting. The shower and toilet were separate cubicle rooms which can be convenient. The toilet came with a bum gun which is a HUGE plus. I appreciate that the water provided is a 1L glass bottle, not always the case in other hotels. The phone is an old style rotary phone which is a cool touch and keeping in theme with the hotel and it's origins. Breakfast buffet is standard but limited when compared to other 5* hotels. There is not enough options with those who have specific dietary needs. Checkout at 12pm. The extra hour always helps. Great location to explore from especially with being located inside a train station.

Our stay at The Editory Riverside Hotel in Lisbon was nothing short of exceptional. The location couldn't have been more convenient—just a one-minute walk to the train station, which made our travels around Portugal incredibly easy. We were celebrating my birthday, and the hotel truly went above and beyond to make it special. Upon arrival, we were surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a beautiful riverside view room, and a delicious birthday cake was waiting for us inside. It was such a thoughtful touch and made the occasion even more memorable. The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely accommodating throughout our stay. Every interaction felt personal and sincere. The breakfast each morning was extensive, fresh, and absolutely delicious. We left with wonderful memories and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

The hotel is beautiful and the room are very nice. I had a small room with a balcony, the room felt very big as the ceiling is very high. The balcony was small but great(I knew the size beforehand from the photos). The area at first seems isolated but walk up the hill to Alfama and discover the beautiful old neighbourhood there, a lovely stroll through Alfama to the center. Miguel (I hope that I am spelling it correctly) was such a wonderful receptionist. He was working the night shifts the days I stayed and he was so nice, friendly and accomodating to any inquiries. All staff I met were nice but I interacted more with Miguel and he was wonderful. I just have to put that in writing! Very pleased with my stay here! Thank you :)

I just got back from a fantastic hotel stay in Portugal, and I'm really impressed! First off, the staff was amazing – super friendly and attentive, making everything feel warm and welcoming. They went above and beyond with a smile, which was great. The room was spotless, with clean linens and a fresh, crisp vibe that I loved. The location was perfect, just a short walk from a metro station, making it really easy to explore all the awesome tourist spots in Portugal. I got to check out the major sights without any hassle, which was a big plus.
